The video and stills of this dataset are associated with the video walk "Walk-itch" - devised by Jungenfeld for the collective event "Glitch'd: Purposeful Mistakes" (Hood et. al) as part of the Edinburgh International Festival 2013. The video walk was devised in June-August 2013 and presented at the end of August. The video walk developed inside the Main Building of Edinburgh College of Art, where a group of 20+ people using seven sets of equipment (portable projector, wireless spy camera and receiver) created a collaborative multi-projection video walk. The equipment was meant to be used in pairs, so that one person would carry the wireless spy camera and the other the portable projector connected to a radio receiver. This way one person collected visuals directly from the surroundings (live feed) and the other person received and projected the moving images onto surfaces and things around them. All the equipment was connected to the same radio channel, which provoked glitches in the signals, and as a result different pairs of participants exchanged and mixed the content that was collectively re-mediated. Video documentation by Kao and Jungenfeld; video editing and sound by Jungenfeld. The following licence files are associated with this item:
