Dataset Description (abstract)dc.description.abstractThis dataset contributed to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery (DVM&S) thesis "Diseases of wild birds of the Orders Passeriformes and Columbiformes - a review of conditions reported from the United Kingdom and an analysis of results from wild bird disease surveillance in Scotland 1994-2013" (Thomas Pennycott). The dataset contains images of some of the disease conditions and parasites encountered in blackbirds, thrushes, robins and starlings during the study period. A searchable list of images is provided in a Word document, as is a PDF document with the images and captions embedded. Individual images are included in JPEG format. Images from other species contributing to the same thesis can be found in this Collection at http://datashare.is.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283/2033 .en_UK
