This dataset contains the location of all currently operational Whisky distilleries in Scotland. In addition to the geolocation information, the dataset contains information on the nature of the whisky giving a score for body, sweetness, smoky, medicinal, tabacco, honey, Spicy, Winey, nutty, malty, fruity, floral nature of each distillery. Only one score per distillery is provided to it is assumed that this is a generalisation of the whisky that each distillery offers. Data sourced from https://www.mathstat.strath.ac.uk/outreach/nessie/nessie_whisky.html , corrected (a few errors in original data such as lat/lon mislabled) and then converted into shapefile and kml formats. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2014-01-08 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-22.The following licence files are associated with this item:
