The SCRIPT project is an EPSRC Programme Grant with the aim of pushing text-to-speech technology towards "broadcast quality" computer-generated speech (i.e., good enough for the BBC to broadcast) in many languages. SCRIPT is a collaboration between the Centre for Speech Technology Research (CSTR) at the University of Edinburgh and the BBC.
