Genetic effects can differ between the sexes. In an effort to assess differences in genetic architecture between males and females, Bernabeu et al. fit sex-stratified models to obtain sex-specific genetic effect estimates and assess association to the phenotype (genome-wide association study, GWAS), and compared genetic effect estimates between the sexes, for 530 binary and non-binary phenotypes of 452,264 individuals (245,494 females and 206,770 males) of European ancestry from UK Biobank. This effort is described in detail in 'Sexual differences in genetic architecture in UK Biobank' .

Included in this collection are the GWAS summary statistics, as well as the sex comparison statistics, pertaining to the aforementioned sex-stratified models, for each of the 530 phenotypes. Genotype, phenotype and sample QC described in aforementioned publication.

Sex-stratified GWAS can help shed light on sexual differences in genetic architecture. In Bernabeu et al (2021) we fit sex-stratified linear mixed models (using DISSECT) across a total of 530 phenotypes to assess the effects ...

Sex-stratified GWAS can help shed light on sexual differences in genetic architecture. In Bernabeu et al (2021) we fit sex-stratified logistic mixed models (using REGENIE) across a total of 42 binary traits for which we’d ...
