This document describes a dataset designed to examine Voice Quality (Modal vs. Breathy) and Tone (Low vs. High) in the Bor South dialect of Dinka. The materials consists of 29 minimal sets in which these two factors are orthogonally crossed, across all seven of the Dinka vowels (/i, e, ɛ, a, ɔ, o, u/). They were elicited in utterance-final position and in isolation, from eight speakers of the Bor South variety of Dinka. The archive includes 2157 sound files ( wav format, recorded digitally at 48kHz and 16 bit using a headset-mounted microphone), plus Praat TextGrid annotation files for 1724 of the wav files.
